It's a training. The master arm is in simulate mode, that allows to lock and provides hud symbology as if it was a real dogfight, yet doesn't fire any ammo. You can see that because 1. it shows "SIM" in the HUD corner and 2. the pilot had multiple occasions to shoot yet he didn't.

@@wg4112 Average DCS dogfight players think a 12 minute dogfight while pulling 8 G's is possible. Sorry guys, but keeping the blood in your brain is exhausting.
You uneducated people that say its exercise because its in SIM mode, you need to realize that in every interception, in every dogfight it is always in SIM mode, that doesn't make it less real. They just don't want to accidentality to shoot down each other due to the heat of the battle(has happened in the past). Even in SIM mode everything working the same as in ARM mode, the seeker is tracking the target, the radar is locking the target, everything its the same but it will not release the missile. But if you really want to, its easy to do it, it all takes 1 sec literally, its a switch that you change its position from SIM to ARM. So in those dogfights as you see in the vid, a pilot can shoot down the locked fighter immediately, it wont take more than 2 sec to arm the missiles. Thats goes for every interception around the world, when US intercepts Russian air planes, they do have the switch in SIM mode, same with Russians when intercept US planes or any other NATO aircraft or any other nation intercepting a target. You have brains dont you? Well put it in use and think before you write BS.
